As a business it can instil confidence in customers, for sporting clubs it can provide a presence on the field and for schools it can lift student pride. At Team Apparel it’s my mission to help teams easily look the part, so they can play the part.
My Apparel Destiny
Now with a surname like Clothier (no lies) clothing was always going to be my game. But my lifelong obsession with merchandise was undoubtedly inspired by those transfer t-shirts popular in the 80’s.
On our family holidays to the Gold Coast we’d venture into the custom t-shirt store on Cavill Avenue and I would painstakingly select the best transfer to be heat pressed on to a t-shirt (navy of course)! However my business interests first took shape when I was 15 years old. Playing on our school volleyball team I enthusiastically volunteered to organise team t-shirts for the Schools Cup. I sourced a supplier and had my cousin ‘draw’ a logo – it was the 90’s so it was the true old school way – no computers the screen printing was done by hand!
We actually won that tournament and I truly believe those team t-shirts played a part. But the buzz I felt from handing out the uniform had me well and truly hooked. Ever since I made sure we had merchandise for anything and everything I was a part of – school groups, sports teams, events and even my little racquet restringing business.
Before long I became the ‘go-to-person’ for organising uniforms and in 2008 I officially opened Team Apparel.

Starting Team Apparel has definitely enabled me to live up to my name as a Clothier. While my knowledge, processes and product range have significantly improved since my 15 year old beginnings, my enthusiasm still remains the same.
As a people person I enjoy sharing my experience, guiding customers through the process and basically making the “job” of organising uniforms easier.
I have everything needed to kit out your team, with access to a massive range of apparel and merchandise from more than 20 trusted suppliers.

You don’t get good service or proper merchandise from a few clicks on a website. I commit to delivering a personal service throughout the whole process.
